  1. its not about the money. but if you make it to the top levels of boxing or mma....expect a nice fat paycheck.

lets put it this way...randy couture probably makes per fight what a normal person makes in a year. ..if you make it pro and do reasonably well...no more worries.

again...it isnt about getting rich. its about love for the sport.

  2. Great pro fighting jobs? Dude, pro fighting is a job! Haha.

Honestly though. MMA fighters are paid by the organizations they fight for, and at the more elite levels of the sport, champions and contenders, they bring in five or six figures per fight.

Fighters are also paid for endorsements and sponsorships. Hence all the logos covering fighters shorts in MMA.

The opportunity for making money in kick boxing is a bit better. Kick boxing is huge all over the world and if you're invited to an organization like K-1, you'll be doing well for yourself.

  3. Also, most fighter have sponsorship deals with apparel companies, sports equipment companies, nutrition supplement conpanies, etc.  Look at the gi of any Brazilian BJJ competitor, they have so many sponsors they look like NASCAR drivers.  Until you start earning the big paydays, it's the only way to train full time .

  4. Google how much UFC fighters get paid.  Depending on the popularity they can make upto 250,000 for one fight.  If your at that level you can market yourself so you don't have to work post-fighting career.

  5. The big dollars are in the sponsors baby, if you want to find how much a high paid fighter makes go look up chuck liddells per fight income.
