How do Replies to Freecycle message boards work?

Question

I notice on the Freecycle western suffolk boards that I belong to there are only Wanted and offered posts, but no visible replies to these posts? So then if my reply dosen't show what is the diiference between clicking the email icon and clicking the reply button? Does the poster get emailed either way or what?

Usually the moderator will set the setting to only be able to respond to the poster of the message you are wanting to respond to.

Replies to freecycle messages are emailed directly to the original author.  The only difference between replying to the message and clicking the email icon is the subject of the message.  If you click reply, it will be clearer that you are responding to an offer or wanted.
