  1. We tend to think they are human beings and deserve to be judged by character, not by nationality.

  2. Selace: I could not have written it better.

  3. We love them.

  4. i am not turk but turks are more friendly to greeks than us to turks.

  5. As a Turk, I have no problem with anyone's nationality or ethnic background. I see myself as first and foremost a human being, and my task is to make the world a better place for everyone, regardless of their background.

I live with two Greek roommates in the US and get along very well.  I recently had a Greek girlfriend, too, and really enjoyed it.  Turkey should capitalize on the mixed background and culture of its people.  I am glad that Turkey is ethnically very diverse and I want my government and our people to protect and cherish that more.  Armenians have contributed a lot to our culture, especially in music, architecture, and the arts and continue to do so.  I believe most people in Turkey have no problem with Armenians or Greeks. A recent poll (sorry, I lost the reference and don't recall the precise figures) showed that Turks are quite favorable toward Greeks, much more than Greeks are toward Turks. I believe most of them are also looking forward to the Turkey-Armenia World Cup qualification game as a great opportunity to begin to mend our relations.

Kurds, I have no problem with them as well, as long as they are not pro-terrorism. I do not support terrorism for ANY cause and hope that Kurdish terror will gradually come to an end as the status of Kurds in Turkey improve.

Who I don't like are the people who want to make Turkey and Turkish citizens look like Barbarians, devils, haters of the free world, anti-democratic, narrow-minded, dumb, etc. people. Unfortunately, some Armenians, Kurds, and Greeks have tremendous hatred for anything Turkish and this is their motivation:  To convince the rest of the world that Turks have been killing them for mere pleasure, out of the blue, and that they have been innocent angelic victims at the hands of merciless Turks.  Regardless of whether or not you call the events of 1915 a Genocide, regardless of whether or not you think the Turkish occupation of Northern Cyprus was justified, the true picture is always a more moderate one than this kind of propaganda would have you believe.  Human beings fight and destroy each other and none of these ethnicities (Turk, Armenian, Greek, Kurd) has any special status in this regard.  We are all human beings and under the right circumstances, we will fight or we will live in peace.

In turn, there is propaganda from the Turks, too.  I do not like it either.  I just think all of this should stop and we should focus on mending and improving relations for the future. The world has too many problems for us to be fighting and to hate each other.

To the people who buy into the propaganda of their side, I suggest reading the literature on "psychological essentialism" and a book by Greek historian Dimitri Kitsikis called "The Turkish-Greek Empire."

    Peace out!

  6. ok since i'm Armenian I say they gotta like us.

    WE gotta like each other.

cuz we have to live together forever

  7. I dont feel anything bad to any people from that nation....

I have lotsa kurdish, armenian and greek friends:)

I appreciate people from their nature/personality  not from their origin/nation :)

  8. don't they hate them?

i have a greek friend and her dad would kill her if she even looked TWICE at a turk guy .

  9. We are living together with Kurds, Armenians and Greeks for centuries. There is no problem or enmity between us. Most prevalent belief of us is that the real enemies of the humanity (I think you can understand what I mean) are destroying our friendship. The citizens of these nations were deceived by these enemies for years and centuries....

  10. we only have political problems with Greeks, nothing beside that.

Armenia Armenians hate us, ( and so do we), but we have no problem with Turkey Armenians.

Turkey will always have problems with Kurds, but because of the Kurdish terrorists and their supporters. so it's a little complicated on that.

for my opinion: we don't need no fight( especially with Greece and Armenia), because we must learn to live together.
