  1. i have a 2006 beetle convertible and i live in virginia and, so far, it's been fine in the winter.  of course, we don't get snow so i'm not sure how that would effect things.

  2. They drive just like any other front wheel drive vehicle. What were you expecting?

  3. I saw that the convertibles of the German cars were much more insulated than that of the British cars(how much snow in London) so I figure they only can be better.  I drove MGB convertible in the winter skiing and it really wasn't that bad for an uninsulated mid 60's ragtop.

And the beetles have improved on the heating from the aircooled engines so you will be driving with the windows down.

  4. Living in California, I'm not up on driving in the snow. But the old air cooled Beetles, had no problem. They had a commercial, showing how the guy, that drove the Snow plow, got to his job, driving a Beetle.

But the new ones, I have no idea, you may have to do some research.

Hopefully someone on here will know better.
