... does is there usually a "keeper" that has a list of all of the names?

I'm thinking of cemeteries that were started roughly 100 to 150 years ago and are still adding new graves.

  1. All cemeteries that are still active (burying the deceased) have offices where you can get that information.

  2. look in phone book for cemetery listings, call the trustees of it they will have the grave site listings

  3. Here in the UK you can ask at the superintendents office for the location of the grave, put you will need an exact date of death, or you have to pay for a search to be done to locate the grave.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Any active cemetery will have an office (usually on the grounds but sometimes not). If the office isn't on-site, there will be a sign somewhere indicating where the office is located and, more than likely, a contact phone number. The office will have a directory and map to locate specfic individual names or family plots.
