I do not have a user booklet. The photos have small gray spots on them, which are caused by dirt on the sensor I think. I am not an expert, and I really don't know how to clean them off. And no user guide to help me! Many thanks to anyone who replies

  2. Since you know nothing about this, and neither do  I, I would go to a good camera store like Ritz or Wolf and take your camera with you.   Have a salesperson show you how to use the cleaning kit that I'm sure they have for sale.  But you must be VERY careful.  Good luck.

  3. Your best bet is to take it to a shop to be cleaned professionally.

    Good luck.

  4. There are products you can buy from camera shops, and on the internet.  They can be used, if care is taken.

Be very careful, though. NEVER use something like cotton buds or tissues for this job, or even lens tissue/clothes or you will damage the sensor.

Oh, and there should be a mirror lock-up function available from your cameras menu system. You might need to look on the Canon web site for a manual, if you can't find how to do this by searching your menus.

ALSO it's very important that you do this with a fully charged battery and don't turn off the power or remove the battery while you are cleaning the sensor.
