How do advertisers appeal to their target audiences?

Take on the role of an investigator exploring the different elements of advertising and figure out what elements in these ads might be so effective.

It's for an English paper.. I need just a little help!

  1. They actually hire psychologist to study the target market.

    For instance if an advertiser sells children's toys, then how do you help the children talk to the parent so the parent will by.  They found in their study that parents respond to 2 types of nagging.  This means advertisers need to target their ad campaign on teaching children how to nag properly.  This, I believe, was a multi million $ research.

    When you want to sell chemicals to agriculture companies ... you need to talk $$ and not reveal any of the bad things about them.

    Soda commercials obviviously relies largely on the USofA obsession with looks.

    As to News Paper.  There are certain sizes that get better results.  With the wording looking like the company understands the need or the customer.  

    A person who has written extensively on it is Hopkins .... try looking him us.
