  1. when installed on aircraft the engine intake are divided to two sec and the one section is use by  the cool air coming inside from intake to cool down the engine.

    u can say it like the cars are using air to cool the engine with water in radiator but in aircraft only air is used to cool the jet engine.

    the big fan introdce the air and then a diversion inside divide them to two.one use for burning and other use for cooling by surrounding the burning area


  2. air unused for burning is redirected to the outer casing for cooling purposes. LPT (low pressure turbine) are shrouded sometimes equipped with fins to aid in cooling.

  3. use only 25% air to burn in motor, rest is cooling and compression.
