  1. Lots of ways. Sweating, panting, hiding under a rock...

  2. human and animals control their body temperature in a mechanism that called thermoregulation. Thermoregulation is the ability of an organism to keep its body temperature within certain boundaries, even when temperature surrounding is very different.

    since you do not explain it in ypur question.. i assumed you're  asking for vertebrates..

    there are many behaviours that they usually do in keep their body temperature remains stable.. some are:

    cooling mechanisms:

        * Vaporization:

              o Getting wet in a river, lake or sea.

        * Convection:

              o Climbing to lower ground from trees, into valleys, burrows, etc.

              o Entering a cold water or air current.

              o Building a nest that allows natural or generated air/water flow for cooling.

        * Conduction:

              o Lie on cold ground.

              o Staying wet in a river, lake or sea.

              o Covering in cool mud.

        * Radiation:

              o Find shade.

              o Enter a burrow shaped for radiating heat (Black box effect).

              o Expand folds of skin.

              o Expose wing surfaces.

    heating mechanisms:

        * Convection:

              o Climb to higher ground up trees, ridges, rocks.

              o Entering a warm water/air current.

              o Building an insulated nest or burrow.

        * Conduction:

              o Lie on hot rock.

        * Radiation:

              o Lie in sun.

              o Fold skin to reduce exposure.

              o Conceal wing surfaces.
