  1. Briefly, APCs take up foreign proteins, chew them up, them present them on their surface with another protein, MHCII.

    Ag-specific B and T cells now bind to the APC.  Communication via chemokines activate the T cells, and also activates B cells to produce first, IgM, then later, IgG against the presented protein.

    Activated T cells can travel and activate other Ag specific B cells to produce more antibody.
