How do art colleges know if you copied an essay and your art porfolio.?

  1. The people reviewing your portfolio have EXTENSIVE knowledge and experience, and are VERY familiar with the schools and style of art, now and throughout history.  Could you sneak into your application portfolio, something that was done by your best friend?  Maybe.  Would you be found out?  That is likely - eventually.  We get the same thing in classical music - people submit a CD for their audition, and we find out that is was NOT them playing at all.  Most people get caught.  They think it will NEVER happen to them . . .

    Maybe YOU cannot tell the subtle differences that will give you away - but the examiners will.  Ever heard the saying "honesty is the best policy"?
