How do astrologers figure it now...?

... that Pluto is no longer a planet, and the extra "plutoids" Ceres, Eris and Makemake?

It does not matter what astronomers say or do for astrology's point of view. After Pluto was discovered it took awhile for astrologers to accept and make up attributes for it. They are not going to give it up just because it changed status with astronomers. As for the other plutoids, only time will tell. Size does not matter, since there are moons of the outer planets that are larger than Pluto and Mercury that are not used.

They did not change the charts to reflect the discovery of any other bodies, nor have they ever updated their charts to account for the constant gradual shifting of planetary axes, orbits, or relative positions.

The short answer is that it doesn't matter because astrology is a pure form of flim-flam. The long answer involves quite a lot of astronomical observation, physics, and mathematics.

"This definition stinks, for technical reasons," Stern told Space.com. He expects the astronomy community to overturn the decision. Other astronomers criticized the definition as ambiguous.
