In this case, he is remanded and anxious to plead guilty. What court documents would be reviewed for this client and handed should he choose to assist in his own defense? I'm curious about recommendations lawyers might have and how counsel assists the accused before sentencing.

  1. Are you in the UK?

If so get your solicoter to get rid of your barister and elect a QC it will be costly thou but they will be you best bet if you are trying to limit the damge for sencting.

I was in crown court facing 5 -7 yrs once i had a QC reprensent me it cost me £7,500 per day of repesention i walked out with a 1 yr sepened sentence and a £500 fine bit difference to 5 -7 yrs in jail £5000 fine don't you think?

If you have the money do it you will not get legal aid for a QC thou it will have to be funded!!!! If your mate doesn't have any money then all i can say is good luck on sentencing.
