How do batenders on carnival cruise varify age?

i have been on a royal carribein cruise and they puched your card if you were under age is carival the same or do they ask for ID

Yes, your ID card indicates whether or not you are 21 or over.  So you'd not be served - and if you were, the charge will show up on your parents' account.

It's the same. My brother was 19 going on 20 and got away with buying drinks somehow though.
