How do beer drinkers feel about Bud Light?

Question

I guess I'm not a "professional drinker" -- I just drink if I go out to the bar and order Bud Light. Many of the people I see drink Bud Light. Do serious beer drinkers shun Bud Light?

I love Bud Light!!! Love it. I like Bud Ice too because it is stronger. But, when given the option I admit I am a whiskey girl 100% and dam proud of it.

Bud light doesn't get a lot of respect because it's a light version of an already light beer. Pilsners are very mild by design and when American beer companies started to make them even weaker in the process of cutting out calories it didn't help the image.

Budweiser has a some international respect as a fair Pilsner, but not Bud Light.

Bud Light receives a D-.

A Beer Advocate, Beer Geek, Beer Snub etc will more often enjoy a beer with substance, complexity and depth. About the only thing Bud Light can say is that it is Crisp; Other than that the enjoyable qualities are really not there.

Serious beer drinkers...many of us prefer to be called beer advocates...for the most part shun Budweiser products in general. For that matter we also shun Miller and Coors products as well.

Beer should be full bodied and have rich, complex and layered flavors. It should be brewed with water, malted barley, hops and yeast. Maybe a few flavor adjuncts like wheat, orange peel, clove or corriander. It shouldn't be made with rice, corn and other fillers.

Bud Light is the most popular selling beer. I'm a beer drinker and I prefer The wheat beers and the dark beers. It's just your personal preference what you want to drink.
