Question:

How do bibleists equate violence, destruction and murder with love?

The OT was the most violent book of fiction ever written.

The NT is not much better. When "god" kills the entire human population, save eight, thats about as murderous as you can get.

Yet these bibles are books of "love"?

  1. Love is there, you only point out his judgment upon man. could you tell us they didn't deserve to die? you think you are better than God, or somehow that you have more love because you wouldn't do that. why don't you say that, why not just come out and say it, man know better than God. Christians don't have to equate his actions, we know they deserve it. i came to the conclusion even when they knew that God existed they rejected him completely doing evil all the time, therefore deserving to be punished,

  2. bibleists? lmao

  3. You obviously have never read the new testament.

The Old Testament is a Jewish document reflecting their belief system.  Jesus taught that their perception of God was incorrect.

  4. I have yet to figure that one out yet. But if you do drop me a line and let me know.

  5. If you think the OT was the most violent book ever written you haven't read many books.

  6. God is perfect wisdom and justice and love....ITS NOT FICTION...

It happened... He didnt ask for your reviews of HIS PERFECT words...

Parents always punish rebellious kids...Welcome to the real world...YOU ARENT THE JUDGE OF ANYONE CERTAINLY NOT YOUR MAKER...

come up with something more positive...

  7. oh God

all the violent you see in the OT is because all these people preferred to disobey and they chose the consequences! There were rules to follow, they did not care at all! o.k they received  the retribution of their sin!

    Pretty simple

God did not take their lives for no reason!

I hate when people don't understand the OT!

  8. When you say God kills the entire human population save eight I assume you're referring to the flood.  The trouble with your thinking is that god did not kill anyone, He warned Noah of the flood and instructed Noah to build an ark.  Others mocked Noah and ignored the warnings about the impending flood.  If Noah had ignored God's warning and instructions he too would have been killed by the flood not God.

  9. God is violent people he has to be violent because people are violent.

You could argue the violence of God in OT but you clearly never read the NT, it is full of ideas of peace and love and during the end of the world the devil is the one doing all that before Jesus comes and saves us from him at the last moment.

  10. Here's how.  If you obey "god" he will love you.  If not, the murderous psycopathic christian "god" will kill you.  It's a choice bibleist sheep have to make.

As you can see, it worked on Fireball.  She is scared to death of her "god."
