How do birds know where to peck for worms?

i was looking at some birds and nearly every time they pecked, they got a worm! how?

  1. i like it too.. ill star you... any ways, i think birds free-ball it.  its like when humans go fishing. you either catch somthing or you dont.


  2. You're probably witnessing the Robins feasting after a good rain.  After a rain, the worms tend to come to the surface.  The birds have fantastic eyesight and can pick up the movement of the worms poking out of the ground and nail em!
