  1. You can get cell phones with brail numbers.

How come drive up ATMs have brail numbers?

  2. Carefully?

  3. underwater

  4. They buy simple phones without all the junk on them. The buttons have brail. There are home phones with brail on them as well. They do the same thing with remotes.

  5. there might be cuz ive been wondering that too!

  6. Most blind people that I know use it just like a normal phone, but often make sure they have special features such as voice recognition.  They generally cannot text or browse the web on them though, unless they have a special software installed on it, one of which is called TALKS, that is basically a screen reader for a cell phone.  It's pretty much just like JAWS which is a screen reader for computers.  I believe only certain Nokia phones are compatible with the TALKS software, and there may be other brands out there.

  7. They flip it open and use it!  Or they get brail on it!

  8. With their hands and voice.

  9. Some phones can talk like they say the number when you press it. I think my old phone had a setting like that. Also you could talk into it and say whoever's name you wanted to call and it automatically dialed it for you. That phone wasn't specifically for blind people but I guess those settings could help someone who's blind.
