How do brits tolerate the indolence, wastefulness, arrogance and absurdities of those so called royals?

They seem to us yanks as nothing but wealth and power perverted to fill their pockets all the more.

If we had an elected head of state, he or she would not cost any less than the monarch does.  In fact, I understand that the Queen actually costs less to support than some presidencies, there was an article about it somewhere a few years ago.

Moreover, the Queen works extremely hard, and so do the other members of the family.  The money we spend on them is no more than we would have to spend on a President, so what makes you think we would be better off without them?

well actually... the queen is not in power and JK rowling author of Harry Potter is making more dosh than the queen. The royal family is history and go back a long way as history can remember of out countries . its like a sentimental ornament of our country. or just like a big face!

From what you have said you know the royal family well, the days that they cared about the people of the UK has long gone, all they think of is themselves, and of course money, they are so far out of the real world, and what is happening
