How do bushfires affect natural fauna and flora in Australian bushlands?

  1. Well bushfire spreads easily and so destroys many habitats for animals. This includes destroying the flora. It takes a long time for some plants to grow back and for a long time the ecosystem can be quite out of whack. This includes the food chain. It can also affect migrating birds and can leave a lot of orphaned animals.

    Or as my little sister says, 'because they kill them.'
