I love cats, and have a gorgeous one of my own who loves me to bits. I call him my ginger shadow as he follows me everywhere. Whenever im upset he knows i need comfort and doesnt leave my side, just staring at me purring. Lately he will even sense if I have a tummy ache and actually comes right on the spot it hurts and starts kneading, its so gorgeous. Have any of you had similar experiences?

  1. i have.  my cat just lingers around me like a black and white shadow, and he cuddles me when i'm uspet.  i think it's just the way they are.  They rely so much on senses other than sight, so they could just feel that we are down, and know how to fix it.  Whatever it is, i love it!

  2. When I was tiny we had three cats, over the years they've died though :(

When I was 3 or 4 I used to get AWFUL nightmares, and would be too scared to get out of bed to my parents room, sometimes I called my dad though, because he worked during the night, so was usually up and about. Usually I was too scared to call or move, in case the wolves would come and get me (lol, I thought they'd hear me and know where I was if I made a noise). So I'd sit there crying, but one night I'd left my bedroom door open by mistake. I was sitting in bed crying, then one of the cats rushed in, jumped onto my bed beside me and started purring. I stroked it and fell asleep. After that I left my door open and whenever I had a nightmare, one of the three cats would immediately sense it and run in to me.

I've found some dogs can do it too. I was having a sleepover at my grandparents house and was in my bed, I leaned forwards for something, rolled right over and landed on my head on the floor at the end of my bed. I was crying, then my grandparents dog bounded into the room, and started to nudge me with her nose. I got back into bed with my hand out and she slept under the bed and nuzzled my hand.

  3. It's true, your cat seems very loving. Animals sense pain and emotions but it was probably seeking warmth when it cuddled up to you. I have had many experiences with animals truly caring about me and others, cuddling up, and soothing my pain...

  4. yeah whenever i'm ill my cat always always comes and sits on me - and recently i couldn't sleep and he came onto my bed and lay down next to me and i instantly went to sleep!

  5. My cat does stuff like that!

She knows exactly how to act around me.

If I'm happy, she'll be cheerful, and if I'm sad she gives me lots of purrs and rubs her head on me and gives me lots of snuggles.

    Your cat sounds amazing.

    He kneads your tummy ache!!

    That is sooo cute!!!!
