  1. ok first off they do NOT mate like mammals.... Chickens do not have the same s*x organs as mammals,  Roosters, male, when mounting the hen, female, he rubs a o*****e that kinda oozes the    the sperm out and he rubs in to the female s*x organ, thus fertilizing the egg. Hens lay eggs no mater what, but if ya want babies, ya need a rooster.

  2. Very interesting! Ive never really thought about it.......don't they lay eggs like every other day? They must do it often...! lol

  3. The whole thing is over as soon as it begins....glad im not a chicken. The rooster basically just TAKES it,blink and u miss it.The hen will lay eggs without mating they just wont be fertile. If your hen looks like her feathers have been ripped out her back, then the rooster is definetly breeding her. Some roosters can be very rough on their hens.

  4. you don't need a rooster for eggs hens will lay anyway.  all you need a rooster for is if you want baby chicks.  Anyway the male gets the hen by the back of her neck and jumps on her back.

  5. Chickens have intercourse like mammals- rooster mounts the hen-  takes about 20 seconds.

Chickens having s*x is not a factor in getting eggs from a female chicken, (hen)-  the hen lays eggs no matter what.   Without having s*x with a male chicken (rooster) the eggs will not be fertile & would not produce chicks after incubation.

There- I told you about the birds... do you also need to be told about the bees??

  6. so fast that we can't have time to see.

  7. The male jumps on the female and intercourse insues.

    The females make the eggs.

  8. The rooster grabs the hen by the back of the head with his beak. Then he jumps on her back and positions his tail so that it folds under  her tail, and that's when he deposits his sperm into her. The egg is fertilized before the shell forms around it. Yes, my roosters stay busy all day long, chasing chickens !

  9. Very fast and you don't need a roo for this the hens produce the eggs daily if fed laying pellets
