  1. low income children in WI qualify for HeadtStart (ages 3-5)  Head Start is a program to help get kids ready for kindergarten.  

    They also will qualify for Badger Care, a lowincome health insurance for all children.   Starting in 2008 ALL children under 16 regardless of parental income will qualify for health insurance,  with fees on a slind scale.

    if in Milwaukee County you may qualify for extra services through MPS.  Many schools have a free breakfast program or before and afterschool clubs to help kids with homework and social skills.
