    Basically, a circuit is the path along which electricity runs. If you flick a light switch it connects two wires, completing a circuit which allows the electricity to run to the light bulb and illuminate the filiment inside. To put it basically, this is the same way a computer circuit works, however, there are various types of decision making light switches, called gates. Gates can be used in groups to create complex behavioral decisions.
