  1. As clouds form due to ascending currents of air, these currents prevent them from falling. Moreover the ascending air is warmer and the clouds formed from this air are also warmer than the surrounding air.As long as the cloud and the air that it is made of is warmer than the outside air around it,it floats due to buoyancy.

  2. Clouds are made of gas and water vapor.  Small particles gather together and for the clouds.  Depending on the amount of vapor is the types of clouds you get.  The vapor and the particles are just light enough to float.  When water vapors gather and there seems to be too much compiling then you get precipitation.

  3. Well, sometimes cloud particles do fall, and this is called precipitation.  Sometimes clouds are on the ground; these are called fog.

Clouds are composed of droplets of condensed water vapor or crystals of frozen ice.  These particles are usually so tiny that they do not fall to the ground because resistance with the air slows them so much that it would take the typical cloud droplet something like two days to fall from normal cloud heights.

Additionally, there are often air currents moving upward into clouds, that help suspend cloud particles in air.

However, when cloud droplets or crystals grow large enough (read up on the collision/coalescence and Bergeron processes for more details if you wish) they are able to fall to the Earth as precipitation.

In short, cloud particles do not fall to Earth when they are so small that the combined effects of air resistance and upward air currents keep them suspended.

    hope this helps

  4. because they are gas, and if the density of that gas is less than the density of the air, then the clouds' vapor will float, however a fog is a cloud also

  5. Clouds are made up of water vapour which are hot air and hot air is lighter than cold air. So, clouds stay in the air and not fall.
