I have holdings in a company called PMI. They recently sold two units. I would like to know how the proceeds factor into the income statement.

  1. Same as sale of any other asset. You take the sales proceeds and minus the book value and arrive at a gain or loss on disposal of associated company or subsidiary or whatever.
