How do they work and also i am going to buy a 3 set, a base one and 2 others, this comes with a base obviously with a phone with it and 2 other charger bases with 2 phones. now my other question is i know the base has to connect to the phone socket but do the other 2 chargers have to connect to the phone socket too or do they just connect to the plug socket?

  1. The base set is the only one that actually needs to be plugged into the phone jack (and a power source of course). You're right about the other two parts - they are chargers! Just put them where it is convenient. Those handsets will use the base station and its connection to the phone jack when you make your calls.

  2. Only the base station has to be connected to the phone socket but it has to be plugged in to the mains. The other phones just sit in their chargers but also need to be plugged in to the mains.

They work basically in the same way as wireless internet - everything is digitized and sent as radio signals.
