  2. This will vary considerably based on security level of institution and the institution's policies on visiting.  

  3. For minimum security, inmates are in a room in front of the Control Center, cameras are on them at all times.  For medium security, they are in one big room with a bunch of inmates and their families.They sit up at a desk against the wall. They watch everyone, plus cameras are all over the room, zooming in and panning the room.  It is usually 2 officers in the room.  For maximum security, it is a non-contact visit with plexiglass between them.  They use a phone to talk.  One officer is present.
