  1. BOTH PEE ON THEIR CYCLE SEAT WHILE CYCLING

  2. In the longer stages of a race the riders have two options:

The first is what is called a "nature break"-- they just stop at the side of the road near some trees or bushes and go.

The second is to just go on the run.  This was evident in this years Tour de France when one of the riders clearly "wet his pants" as he was dismounting after the race.

  3. They drink their water bottle and then pee back into the bottle while riding.  Then they pass the bottle off to someone and exchange it for a fresh one again.

  4. Peeing while riding is only recommended for racers in big events.  In the Tour De France, many men have been photographed riding and emptying their bladder.  Unfortunately, it is pretty difficult to really empty your bladder without peeing all over yourself and your bike while flying down a road.  Tour De France riders allow their mechanics to worry about cleaning up their steed.  The rest of us would need to worry about the corrosive effects of all that salty urine on our bike.

Thus, the best plan is to get off your bike to do your business.

    Hope this helps.
