  1. First off, what it is is weight to torque, if you are talking about their snap off the line, and weight to horsepower if you are talking about their TOP SPEED.

There are many factors behind why a bike will be slow off the line, or fast at top speed.

one factor is the size of your sprocket. Your ignition settings, and your exhaust settings.

The smaller your sprocket is, the faster your top speed will be.. Because the chain doesn't have as many teeth to go around it will go slower at first but increase in speed after a moment.

The bigger your sprocket is that faster it will POP off the starting gate! because there is very little time before the chain hops on to the sprocket because it is so big

When I say ignition mods I mean fuel, air, and spark.

Fuel you can make it more EXPLOSIVE by putting high octane fuel(octane creates the fuel to be more or less explosive).

the air you can make your CARB JET smaller so that more air will go by faster, and your air filter thiner.

And for spark you can put a mod on the bike to control your spark setting, to either make it super hot, or cold. And then your going to want to put in a nice hot iridium plug.(The lower the number on the pug the hotter).

And I did say before exhaust. you can just through on an aftermarket pipe, and what this is going to do is increase air flow.

It's like an assembly line, if no one in the line is slow everyone can go faster. stock exhaust is a weak link in your bikes assembly line.(factories dont want people getting hurt so they try and maintain power at a level.

That right there you should be able pretty much copy and paste for an A+++

    GOODLUCK!!

  2. You have light weight with high power.

  3. Power to weight ratio & torque are two big factors

  4. Short answer.....the right wrist.haha

  5. gearing power to weight ratio

I think the 2 stroke 250's were putting out about 50 hp on a bike that weighs 212 that a good hp to weight ratio

figure about 4 pounds per hp

  6. very talented riders make those dirt bikes fast
