I'm a high risk pregnancy at 33 weeks and am likely to go into perterm labor. I was wondering exactly what do doctors do to stop labor? I know they give you a shot, but where do they give it to you?? I just want to be informed and want to know everything. Lol. Thanks!

  1. there are medications they give you to stop contractions.

  2. YES ITS NATURAL,DONT WORRY AT ALL.

  3. bed rest, shots or both. They sometimes even give you oral meds to take. Are you asking what body part the shot goes into or if you take them at home or in the office? I do believe the shots go in your butt (LOL) & they can do both. Sometimes you give the shot to yourself.

I hope you don't go into preterm labor & baby stays put at least for another 4 weeks. Good luck!
