  1. When my dogs need or want to go outside, they'll ring a bell by the back door, and when my dogs want to go on a walk, or if I fall asleep at 5pm (their walking time) they'll bark, and paw at the closet where we keep the leashes. Also, they wake me up at 6-10(depending on if its a school day) and then when we get back from our walk, they bark at the food bowl.

  2. 1 of my dogs will sit at the door if he needs to go out if I don't notice he will bark once at me to look at him. And when it is feeding time at 6am and 4pm they can tell time LOL and at 8pm they know it's time for a treat and will sit in front of me to remind me.

  3. I guess they just know when they need something, like we do. We know when we're hungry or tired and they do too. basic instincts are in all of us. Dogs are friendlier than most animals and they can connect with us in a way. Some I think are smarter than others and can be taught simple instructions. for example; I once had a dog that would run in circles by the door when he needed to go out.

So they know by these little tricks we teach them what to do according to the need they feel. I think.

Don't trust this, it's all guesswork! lol
