How do farmers get their crops so straight?

  1. You're joking, right?

    The farmer hooks up the seeder to the tractor.  He drives up and down the field and the seeder drops the grain seeds into the field.  As long as the farmer drives fairly straight (like mowing the lawn), the seeds will fall out of the seeder in straight lines.

    I can't believe someone asked this...


  2. Row Crop tractors Have computers onboard these days that use Satellites to keep them straight..

    10 years ago they used laser guiding systems to keep them striaght...

    Of course the disking and seeding implements all have adjustable guides on both ends that raise and lower automatically when the tractor turns around to keep the rows evenly spaced..  So even without GPS or laser assitance, The rows would be nearly perfect from a distance...

  4. They use Farm Equipment with GPS that maps out straight lines.
