I think you need a S****y outfit, the ability to sneak past bouncers and the willingness to blow who ever will let you. I don't know how much parents had to do with it leading up to this point, as I'm not a doctor (or a groupie either for that matter).

EDIT: Hey Pricilla, Jagger never did it for me. Had I been that crazy in my teenage years I think it would have been at a Pearl Jam concert...oooh Eddie....

Pamela Des Barres, a former groupie who wrote the tell-all book "I'm With The Band" did provide some insight as to what attracts some women to these bands. As a child, her father largely ignored her and going after these men was a way to make up for her disinterested father. Women who like to throw themselves at older men this way are often looking for father figures to try to make up for what they didn't get when they were children.

Yes it all stems from bad parenting. When you don't raise your children with good values they tend to want to be like everyone else who is not doing good in their life. Such as parasites like groupies. They feel the need to try and latch on to someone else's life for what they can gain.
