Im trying to connect a laptop to my network but the computer does not have an icon for the wireless networks...

The only icon in the bottom corner is the local area connection and not my wireless connections.

How do i find the menu where i can view my wireless connections or view the wireless connections around me?

  1. For Windows XP

    Click Start

    Click Control Panel

    Double click Network Connections

Your wireless connection should be listed.

  2. You can go into the control panel and go to network and sharing centre, from there you should be able to connect to your wireless network. Also, if you right click on the taskbar and choose properties, you can customize the icons that appear in the bottom right corner.
