    In general one can say that fingerprints differ on 2 aspects:

    - the fingerprint 'pattern' - a palm reader/hand analyst often pays attention to this aspect by looking for 'whorls', 'loops', 'double loops', 'arches', 'tented arches', or other less common patterns.

    - the 'dactyloscopic' features - forensic experts always pay attention to the minor details in a single finger print: in general one needs more than 15+ common features to MATCH a fingerprint with a fingerprint which was found to be criminal evidence.
