Question:

How do fish react to a full moon?

Well I heard that when there's a full moon, that it reflects so much in the water that fish jump up and try to eat it, but I also heard the opposite, which is that the fish will get scared and go away deeper into the ocean, I personally believe the first one, but if you have another opinion or a fact let me know, otherwise let me know which it is.

  1. They grow whiskers and fur over their body and howl.


  2. well, some fish like the Grunion will actually come up on some beaches to spawn right after full moons. I hope to actually see it sometime, but we've never gotten around to it.  

  3. Don't know about other fish but the full moon makes grunions all hot and bothered, that's when they mate. Grunions mate in the surf, they're so distracted by what they're doing people scoop them up by the handful.
