How do fish see in the dark?

Obviously fish live in the sea at night and swim and don't keep bumping into the seabed and everything and how do they do that when there are no lights in the sea? Do they have special eyes or do they have like a radar like bats.

  1. They can still see (it is rarely completely dark), but they may also use their lateral line to feel movements or pressure changes in the water.  Some fish also have sensory organs around their face and mouth that can detect chemical cues.


  2. there is always some light, certain fish can just see in very low levels of light
