  1. Greatly.  But at the same time not so much.  The subjects of the songs are often the same: lost love, unfaithful love, death, murder and mayhem.

    But the interpretations change widely.  To get a good sense of how that is, I would see the film Songcatcher staring Aidan Quinn.
