How do fossils help us understand the ways in which animals change over time?

  1. we compare and contrast their bone structure and stuff they had then vs. now.


  2. I dont really know but I think it is because they help us understand what was walking the earth before us.

  3. When you see the fossil of an animals foot you can always see a difference of the foot size and shape for evolution.

  4. carbon dating(if ya dunno wat that is, google it) and tracking similarities of bone structure.  If one animals bones are very similar to another a couple million years later, than it evolveed into that speices.

  5. I hate to be painfully obvious, but think about comparison between skeletons from different time periods.

  6. they help so you can see all of the adaptions and changes animals and humans have had over time. helps people understand the earth before any of us where here
