How do get Magic the Gathering: Online to run?

Sorry if i am using the wrong terms (I know next to nothing about some of this computer stuff) but i recently downloaded the Magic the Gathering Online (if that helps) and it says the server is either offline, or my internet connection is down. I know my connection is fine because i am on the internet right now..... i looked through some forums and learned that it may be that my firewall or secruity program is blocking it . So how do i allow MtGO to run..... or is there another way to get it to work?

Oh yeah! also i had the same problem while downloading Combat Arms from Nexon.net. It wont let be play/download! Is my firewall blocking it?
