How do get a messenger account with hotmail?

Question

i go to this link https://signup.live.com/signup.aspx?ru=http://home.live.com&rx=http://messenger.live.com&id=507&rollrs=12&lic=1 and sign up but it keeps saying error try again later but it's been a while and i still can't log on. is there anywhere else i can sign up.

If you have a Hotmail account you already have the messenger account

Make sure you have the latest version, and yes, it works on Vista

Just go to the msn home page and in the far right bottom of the page you will find where it says windows live messenger. Click on there and then it will open up to a page where it will say download messenger. Thats it. Download it and your set.
