How do get my mom to give me more freedom.?

Question

I want to get job at the QFC down the road and start going to popular hangout spots but I cant because my mom wont let me leave my condo complex. She wont let me because she says ill get hit by a car or kidnapped. Im 14 and im 6 feet I think can take care of my self but she wont trust me.

Please understand your mom loves you,and if she let you runn around and do what you want at such age as you are.That means she does not love you bro.

Try too understand.She cares about you and your safty.

Please do not try too grow up too fast,Just be a Kid and wait a couple yrs.

Tell your mom that you understand that she is concerned for your safety and you appreciate it, but, if she continues to control your every move then you may rebel against her and that would be far worse than her just trying to keep you on a short leash. As her to give you a trial period, to hang out with people and get a job and as long as you follow the rules of curfew or the time she sets then maybe she might be apt to letting you go more frequently.

you do understand that your mom is only thinking about your safety right? i mean people these days can be so cruel.

on the other hand i suggest you show her you're responsible enough to handle a job, and talk it out with her,tell it it will be good for you because it will train you to handle responsibilities. just promise her that if something goes wrong you'll quit.. :)

i think u need 2 sit down and have a serious talk with your mum. sha is not doing u any favours by keeping u wrapped up in cotton wool u will never be ready 2 face the world . i know being a parent it is hard letting ur kids go but i think this is a bit extreme . u will probably find she doesnt want 2 let go of u she doesnt want 2 admit ur growing up

well do something to prove to your mom that you are responsible but she wont give you that much freedom because your still young.

omg, lol i started working at age 13, lol I'm going into my 3rd year of high school. explain to your mom you could defend your self and that your almost grown up and its time you've had more responsibility.
