  1. Everybody's right!

You need a trainer with a good rap. You gotta spar and spar and spar... and let your trainer study you with very watchful eye! He will mold you to a better fighter. Respect him and follow his judgments. Let him mentor you.

  2. Hi,

I hope I can give you advice to help you. First off, your goal is an excellent one and I hope your family and friends will support you. To reach your goal, the first step would be to find a good boxing gym with a trustworthy coach. I don't know where you are located but you can find recreation centers and police athletic leagues in a lot of areas.

Here are some pieces of advice that I will give you:

1 - Learn the basics. Be patient. Boxing truly is the Sweet Science. What looks on TV like "2 guys punching each other" really has a lot of technique like blocking punches, slipping, countering, footwork, how to set up punches, etc. Listen to your trainer and show him respect.

2 - Work Hard!!! Do your roadwork (jogging), and your excercises like pushups, situps, pull ups, etc. Make your body strong. In boxing, you won't be lifting a lot of weights. You don't want to be overly muscular. That makes you heavier and it restricts your movements. Bigger muscles also require more oxygen so you will tend to get tired faster.

3 - Mental Preparation. You will be nervous. That is natural and that is normal. Like the legendary trainer Cus D'mato would say "The Hero and the Coward both feel the same thing. They are both scared. It is what the hero does that makes him a hero. And what the coward doesn't do that makes him a coward."

I hope this helps you out. Best of luck to you!!!

  3. The first thing you need to do-is find a good trainer someone who has worked with a lot of good fighters and do as he tells you. The rest is up to you work hard

  4. hey I'm 14 and i am a boxer. To be great in my eyes You need to work out a lot eat right do what the trainer says and practice as often as you can. A couple of things i know is that:

1.don't run it will mess with your knee joints that will be useful in future bouts

2.Don't do the same workouts all the time and not everyday. The more you do a work out the easy it is for the body to adapt to it and not gain muscle.

3.i train every monday thursday saturday But on these days i train normal.

4.do hardcore training sessions maybe twice a month but work upper body once and then lower body the next.

Follow these and you should be great and remember to do what the trainer says.

P.S. instead of running use the stair master and swim To build endurance

  5. spar a lot!

  6. Yeah your going to have to find a trainer and a real gym. From what it sounds like your just working out at home and that's not going to cut it you need professionals around. Somebody that has a track record.
