  1. check out this book the queen of clean.she knows everything about cleaning.

Note: Mold and mildew thrive on moisture, and over time they can damage the exterior of your house (figure A).

       1. To remove mold and mildew, use an all-purpose detergent or one specifically designed for mold or mildew. Avoid bleach since it may damage your surface.

       2. Using the low-pressure setting, run clean water through your pressure washer and wet the surface to be cleaned. Some materials such as brick and wood will absorb water, and spraying chemicals first may lead to discoloration.

       3. Wetting nearby plants and shrubs will help run chemicals off them as well.

       4. With the washer still on low, place the siphon hose in the detergent and begin.

       5. Clean the house in easily doable sections starting at the bottom (figure B ) and working up, overlapping each run as you go.

       6. Once you've applied the chemicals, change to the high-pressure mode (figure C) for rinsing or cleaning.

       7. Operate the wand at an angle, going back and forth in 5' sections. You can vary the cleaning power by switching nozzles and by adjusting the angle and distance from the target to control the force you're applying.

       8. Rinse from the top down (figure D) with clean water, and inspect the job along the way.

       9. For decks, use a detergent specially formulated for the job, as bleach can adversely affect the wood.

No matter what kind of home you have, keeping it clean and free from mold and mildew will extend its life and avoid costly repairs.

  2. An inexpensive way to get rid of mold and it's aroma is to liberally sprinkle kitty litter under there (that's assuming you're willing to go under the house - I would hire it done since I'm a scaredy cat).  The litter absorbs the moisture and helps eliminate the odor.  There is also some sort of chemical you can put under there, but I'm more green than that.  Good luck - and remember that some molds (black mold especially) can cause illness.  Good luck!!!!

  3. chlorine bleach will eradicate the mold and the odor.
