  1. in most standard weaponary a metal hammers hits the back of a bullit igniting a small spark that sets of sum explosives  inside  the shell causing the front part to explode forward at supersonic speeds

  2. Physics.  Each bullet has the proper amount of explosive in it to allow that to happen.

If you mean the rapid succession of bullets, it's because each bullet releases an amount of gas that charges the weapon, so that the firer (barring malfunction) only has to charge the weapon once.

  3. Super hot expanding gases, pushes the projectile through the barrel.

  4. Basic laws of Physics and Newtonian Mechanics.

  5. The brass casing (the golden capsule at the end of the bullet) is filled with Gunpowder, when you pull the trigger whats called the primer strikes the end of the casing igniting the powder inside, the gas built up in the casing expands and pushes the bullet or slug, out propeling it down the barrel, guns have different types of patterns inside the barrel which is known as the bore, usually a spiral pattern. With a spiral the bullet spins down the barrel (Picking up speed as it spins faster) until it leaves the barrel creating the signarature bang as the gas escapes the barrel, all in all the barrel bore coupled with the expanding gas makes the bullet go faster.

  6. The bullet is filled with explosive powder. The firing pin of the gun strikes the blunt end of the bullet causing the powder to ignite and the force of expelled gas propels the sharp end of the bullet outwards.

    That's the simple explanation.
