How do guys get over girls so fast?

My ex and I broke up about 9 days ago. We were going out for 2 months and we really liked each other, however I had to dump him because he was acting totally different in front of his friends and treating me different in front of his friends. Well, I gave him a letter hinting that we should get back together. He simply ignored it. How do guys get over girls that quickly? How can he just seem like he is totally over it?!

The only way a guy could get over a girl that quickly is if he never liked her that much to start with. Most likely, he don't care and it means little to him. If you have meant a lot to him, he wouldn't be treating you differently in front of his friends. I'm sorry if this is hurtful to you. If you still really like him, maybe you should make a move and go after him. If he's not worth your time, then forget about him and move on. His lost.

He's probably just being the proverbial "man", trying to pretend like he's not interested, all tough and macho, you know the drill. Guys do this because it makes us feel better about ourselves, and less insecure and afraid. We have feelings, some of us even have them as deeply as girl's do, we just don't express them as much.

have you considered that maybe he didnt actually love you. coz if he didnt it would have been really easy to get over you. but if he did infact love you he wouldnt have gotten over you so fast.

he got over you so quick because he wa never really into you in the first place. By the way you describle things, it seems as though you werent that important to him. You deserve a better guy that respects and values you and that does not "act different in from of his friends".

move on and dont stand around waiting for him to come around because he really doesnt deserve it.

One of the reasons guys get over a relationship quickly is because they don't care as much about the relationship in the first place.

More guys date "just for fun" while more girls are emotional about the whole deal.

Guys act like they're over it.. when they're really not. If he acts different in front of his friends it could also be that he doesn't want to show them his weak side. Talk to him face to face, best way to do it.

just because he ignored it doesn't mean he's over you. you dumped him so maybe he's just upset and doesn't want to get back together because you possibly hurt him and he maybe thinks you'll do it again.

You probably did break his heart and now he wants to break yours. He probably DOES like you, he just wants to wait and think a little...

Maybe go out with one of his friends, if he is the jealous type to want you back :P

well, honey, the truth is, he probabaly never liked you that much.

and then when you guys broke up, he probabaly noticed how much more he didn't like you.

In other situations, guys are just players.

they just want to fake that they like you, to get in your pants or to gain popularity.

and some may ACT like they're over you, but deep inside they're beraking down.

all those guys are STUPID.

you shouldn't get back with youre ex because how he was treating you and how he simply ignored your letter.
