How do guys show interest in a single mom? Will he show extra interest in her kids?

I showed intrest by being kind and caring to her and her daughter. I fell in love with both of them and asked her to marry me. she said yes, then after six months said she needs her space and wants to be alone. My advice is not to show interest in a single mom. If they couldn't make their first relationship (marriage) work, they don't want to have a family. I tried to show stability and love in a family. She hated that and said she knows now she was just looking for a friend. Advice to all guys....make sure you date for a really long time before falling in love with a single mom. She left her man before and will always have a sour taste and expect perfection from you....Just a warning!!!!

i tell guys i meet i have kids put they wont be in this relationship for my kids they are there for me.  if the kids and him get along then kool if not there isnt a reason for him to feel obligated to them cause he is here for me. oh and dont get the kids involved right off the bat give your relatioship a chance first...
