  1. I don't think they really care. I personaly am not crazy about Harleys but many people are. Not everyone wants to get a Hyabusa and zip through cars dangerously like an idiot. People who buy Harleys and cruisers in general like to take a nice comfortable ride and enjoy riding their bike. If you want to be a motorcycle racer go to a track, there's no reason to have a bike tthat does over 200mph if your just going to be on the streets.

  2. We ride Awesome bikes... Unlike other brand riders We dont care about whats going on with the others ... Cruse along at 70 all day long with no problems... just keep stacking the miles on, with big smiles on our faces

  3. If you are such a serious rider how do you manage to spend so much time on Y/A ?

  4. As a general rule, we really just don't care. If we were concerned about raw speed, we wouldn't be riding Harley's.\

Actually, the real question is how do sport bike guys deal with the fact that in 1963, Burt Munroe went 190 mph on a 1920's vintage Indian?

  5. You are assuming someone cares about this statement.  If I just want to go fast, I'll get a V-Rod with a NoS kit and then reprogram the fuel injector to run off alcohol.

In the meantime, "potato-potato-potato" will get more girls than any squeal machine.

  6. The same way that guys deal with the fact that there are supermodels that are hotter than their wives, they don't care. You can't quantify some things.

  7. This boy needs to grow up and get a life!

No, knocking other motorcycle brands is not a life. Don't you ever do anything else?

  8. Harley's have never been about sheer speed. The Harley has always been built and known for being an excellent highway cruiser. The Indian, back in the 30's, could also out run the Harley but that wasn't what Harleys were about so no one really cared. It's like comparing a straight six to a high performance V8. Oh, by the way, where is the Henderson today? Lots of Harleys built, still.

  9. They deal with it by believing the hype surrounding harleys, and that they are all "big bad bikies" instead of insecure little people trying hard to compensate for a serious lack of a certain physical attribute

  10. I was following a ZX6R down the highway. We took an exit which followed up to a red light. We both sat there. On our right a group of Harley riders, 3 girls and 2 guys, all older, putted by. It was funny because they're so boring and slow it was like an adrenaline filled ride until they killed it. Sitting straight up like that looks goofy as h**l.

this has nothing to do with this post

    magz grow up

    ok there we go

  11. It was't made in Japan.

  12. It only seems to bother you.The rest of us don't give a s***

I had a friend named Stan Dishong that had a bike museum originally in Calif. Before he died he moved to the Oregon coast. The guy knew more about bikes than anyone i've ever known. He taught me a lot about my Panhead.Go to this link and check it out.Scroll down and look at his HOG bike.He hand built the valve train and heads. It was an overhead cam fuel injected Panhead that ran 130 in the 1/4 mile.

Quite a guy who will be missed by everyone that knew him

  13. funny a guy like you is using jay leno as a comparison so much lately.... you don't get why i like a 67 mustang, you don't get harleys... wtf do you think jay leno is into?  plastic japp c**p? heh, think again

  14. Evidently we deal with it much better than you, since we aren't the one obsessing about it.  I rode nothing but sport bikes when I was in my 20's, but eventually I reached a point that I didn't care about impressing people with a fast bike or car and I started riding/driving what I enjoyed, not what I thought my peers would perceive as cool. I still race motocross and do track days at the local road course (VIR), but I realized a 200 MPH bike on public roads just didn't make a lot of sense. I'm fairly new to the cruiser world, but even as a long time racer/speed addict, I truly enjoy just cruising on a big V-Twin, don't care if it's a Harley or a Honda. Most people eventually grow out of that phase where everything in life is some sort of competition, which is where you still are.
