How do homeschoolers graduate and receive diplomas?

I'm planning to homeschool my 9th grader thru graduation. I don't know what to do about a diploma when he is ready to graduate.

Why the thumbs down.  This is REALITY and REALITY HURTS and New York State Universities don't usually take PENN FOSTER diplomas.  You have to GED to go to SUNY if you PENN FOSTER, as a general rule.  PENN FOSTER, which is accredit, does NOT comply with the NYS homeschool rules for cirriculum.  And some courts have backed the school system on this.

I don't agree with that, but it is a rule of NEW YORK.

Like it or not you have to follow the rules or you get your driver's license revoked or get put in prison.
